The David Shepherd Veterinary Services clinic offers many services such as pet grooming, vaccination, and consultation, as well as confinement. When we arrived at the clinic, as it was our first time going there, we saw many pet essentials like grooming kits, clothes, vitamins, and pet foods. They also have a room where confined pet patients are taken care of and monitored 24/7 to ensure progress and recovery. We headed to the front desk as soon as we entered the clinic and inquired about vaccination and then filled out essential information regarding Zuki and us as parents.
It took us 20 minutes to finally get catered to since there were many clients in line before us, and it was lunch time so the veterinarian took a break for a few minutes. Many dog breeds were present there, especially those Siberian huskies that kept on howling inside the clinic, and Zuki would bark at them like a big dog.
This is my boyfriend taking care of Zuki after the vaccination. Zuki was a bit aggressive after the shot when I carried him, only to find out I touched the part where he got injected. So I let my boyfriend tame him and he took care of Zuki and put him in the bag so he could rest.
I saw this poster containing different cat breeds and we shared our thoughts about how these cats are different from each other while waiting for the bill and the new vaccination card.
I read this dog health care recommendation before going out so I'm fully aware of what vaccinations Zuki should take in this specific timeline. As fur parents, we have to be aware of the relevant things we should know about dogs and foster them in healthy ways. Prevention is better than cure as they say, that's why being aware of their vaccination timeline increases their safety from diseases and infections.
When we got home, Zuki and I cuddled before he rested for almost the remaining hours before evening. He was tired from the errands and the vaccination shot must have made him sleepy. Not sure.
Today felt like a small but important step in our journey as fur parents. Taking Zuki to get his vaccination reminded us that caring for a pet also means being responsible for their health and well-being. Even though the day involved waiting in line and a little stress after the shot, seeing Zuki safe, cuddly, and resting peacefully at home made everything worth it. Moments like this make us realize that raising Zuki will come with many responsibilities, but also many heartwarming memories along the way.
