Today we're taking Panda for an ultrasound to officially confirm if she's pregnant. I can tell she is by looking at her belly which is visibly enlarged now. It's been 4 weeks since she last mated and the breeder confirmed that her baby daddy never misses.
I bathed her a while ago and there is no doubt in my mind at this point that she has puppies in the oven and it's not just overeating. There have also been significant changes in the last few weeks that all pointed to the pregnancy. Her appetite has increased so much that she always wants to eat and she isn't picky anymore.
She sleeps through most of the day and is very slow which is quite unlike her. She also can't hold her pee anymore, she wants to go out every few hours to pee and then look for trash to eat. It was very shocking to find her rummaging through the trash outside because she doesn't like bad smells.
Earlier on in the pregnancy, she'd leave her food inside and go outside to look for food in the trash, this is the weirdest pregnancy craving I'm learning of. Now, she eats everything in the house but still craves trash food.
She vomit a few times, and she has a habit of running to my side when she wants to. She is more needy than ever before, wants to lay on my lap more often, and demands I pet her. Currently, she's on my lap on the office chair and I don't know how to stand up because she's taken a very comfortable position.
She barely stands now and can't be bothered about following me around the house every time. I feel pity for her seeing that she's visibly stressed. The pregnancy is taking a toll on her but I'm sure she will eventually see that it was totally worth it when she sees her beautiful puppies. She always had this maternal instinct in her and she's going to be an awesome mum.
P.s - These are old pictures of Panda, I couldn't stress her with a photo session today.
