In the constantly evolving landscape of social media, businesses must adapt to survive. We have always prided ourselves on our agility and our commitment to providing the best service to our users. Today, we face a significant crossroads that requires us to reassess our strategies and adapt to the shifting digital environment.
Since our inception, we've leveraged Twitter's developer tools to scrape data for generating valuable marketing reports for our community. These reports provided insights and helped us craft effective strategies. However, due to recent changes in Twitter's service agreement brought about by Elon Musk, we've found ourselves exceeding the limit of data scraping.
Elon Musk's new service agreement offers three tiers – Free, Basic, and Enterprise. While the free tier restricts posting to 1,500 tweets per month, the Basic tier costing $100 per month extends this limit to 3,000 tweets per user level or 50,000 at the app level. The Enterprise tier, reportedly costing over $40k per month, is designed for large platforms. Considering our need to post around 120,000 tweets per month, these new rules pose an economic challenge for us.
This significant change has halted our regular operations, leaving us unable to scrape any data. But, as they say, "when one door closes, another opens."
We understand that change is challenging and might raise concerns. You might wonder about the implications of this shift. The initial stages will indeed be experimental, and you may see different data reports than you're used to. Rest assured, we're working tirelessly to navigate these new waters and continue providing you with valuable insights.
We foresee the challenges this transition might bring, but we're also prepared to adapt and iterate as necessary. We're excited about the opportunities this change will present and look forward to exploring new ways to gather marketing reports on Twitter, potentially leveraging third-party apps.
As we embark on this journey, we want to emphasize the importance of staying flexible in the digital era. This change is a reminder that we should leverage our presence on web2 while promoting and embracing the future – web3. We're optimistic about this new chapter, and we believe that together, we can navigate this change to our mutual benefit.
Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for your continued support.
