I thought the above article gave good information on what's happening with Steem. It breaks it down really nicely. The most surprising thing to me was Hive account@ned's statement which indicates that he was at least unhappy about the obligations concerning the ninja-mines stake. He goes as far as saying "No pre mine, no investors" Which may be true but I would go a step further and say "No promise, no investors either."
