Hello steemians,
It has been a very long time since I directly interacted with this space like this. I have been posting my random poem here and there in this time, just emotions mostly, not really trying to share. I am still roaming, still trying to understand life. Meanwhile communities is here.
Now I just upped and created a community for poets. Why? I don't know. It felt like a good idea. It is my hope that this community will be a space for great writing, learning and amazing connections. I do want you to be apart of it because I truly do not know what I just did. Like everything else, I basically just pressed play before checking the manual to see what the play button does.
Poetry has been an anchor, the only sensible thing in my life and I want it to be a big part of this platform. I want it to be a part of the conversation, a vehicle of human relationships, a tool with which we can say those things that we find difficulty in saying with regular speech.
I am therefore encouraging all and sundry to come into this small space of mine and break bread with me, philosopher like. I know that I am not a popular content creator here and sincerely, I do not even know the ramifications of what I have done. Someone had to do it though. There are definitely going to be other creative writing spaces and I am already a part of some of them but it is proper that poetry has its own temple, its own school, its parlour in this blockchain, steem supported thing.
