If you're leaving school right now, let me be honest with you: you're stepping into a world that's very different from the one your teachers talked about in class which is not part of life.
We were raised to believe school is the key to success get good grades, wear the gown, take pictures, then boom… the good life is here.No But that’s not how it works anymore. School doesn’t teach you how to survive financially in today’s world. It teaches theory, not reality.
A certificate doesn’t guarantee a job. That’s the truth most people don’t want to say out loud but they know the truth.
There are thousands of graduates out there smart, hardworking, and broke. Some are driving bikes for delivery apps, some are still at home sending CVs every day. And no, it’s not always their fault. The government? Well, let’s just say leadership hasn’t made it easier. There’s little support, low job creation, and the cost of living is rising faster than anyone can catch up. Some even don't have where to stay. From one place to another.
But here’s the part that matters: you don’t have to stay stuck.
Here’s my advice don’t just chase jobs. Learn skills. Real ones. Digital skills, trade skills, money skills. The world now pays people who can solve problems not just those with certificates. That's the reality
Can you design? Can you sell? Can you write? Can you code? Can you manage social media, create content, edit videos, build websites, analyze data, or even bake something people want to buy? Let's move on
These things the extra things will help you survive. Even better? They can help you build wealth. Because in this 21st century, the internet has become the real classroom, and the marketplace is wide open to as much you have the service.
School gave you a start, but life is your real teacher now. Be humble. Be hungry to learn more. Build connections.Just don’t sit still.
Your degree is a tool, not a ticket. It’s up to you to use it wisely.
And if no one else told you this yet I believe in you. Don’t give up. The world is hard, but you're not helpless.
