I’ve always been able to tolerate heat compared to cold but I guess as we grow up, our bodies change.
In the past few years, I can’t tell if it’s my body or the heat has become worse in this part of the world.
It’s impossible to battle heat entirely but we try anyways, here’s how I deal with mine.
Water, I always move around with my medium water flask after filling it with cold water, it retains the coldness and helps me through the hot and Sunny day. It’s always important to stay hydrated during this seasons because of how much sweat your body produces.
Most of my outfits are black. Black outfits and heat don’t do so well together, so in the heat season, I juggle the few outfits I have that aren’t black or dark colors.
I avoid moving around too much, but if I have to move around, I’m going with my umbrella.
I try to let air in by opening the windows, electricity helps but during heat seasons, natural air is the best. A lot of people sleep outside because of the unstable power supply and also because it gets very breezy outside at night but for some reason the breeze doesn’t get into the house enough and I can’t sleep outside, so i sleep with little clothings and I have a hand fan that helps me survive those hot nights.
I have my bath at every chance I get. Like I mentioned earlier I used to deal with heat better than cold, even in the heat I would bathe with hot water, but recently during the heat I bathe with cold water.
It increases my laundry because when I’m home and I shower, I keep changing my clothes.
I don’t use creams during the heat seasons, it makes me sweat. I also don’t joke with my deodorant at this time because sweating a lot makes you smell and that’s just unpleasant.
My country gets really hot at that time of the season and it’s almost unbearable, even my phone overheats so I just pray for the heat to be gone quickly.
This is my little way of surviving through the heat.
