My son is 2.5 years old, and I really enjoy spending time with him. They say that this cuteness will be there till the age of 3 or 4 only. After that, they may not listen to us properly, and we might get into a slight distance from them because of disciplining them. In addition to that, this is the right learning age where they are very curious and try to learn every single thing, and that's what makes it very interesting for us to watch. Sometimes it makes me feel that I should buy him a lot of toys because he enjoys them so much.

Everyone who has raised kids or has been raising kids would have come across this scenario where they are maintaining bags and bags of toys. The second kid usually gets most of the toys, but they are mostly broken ones. My second kid is still very small, and we have not had the pressure to see them fighting with each other. But my sister's kids are now in my house for vacation, and I'm able to see a huge difference there. They fight with each other for the same toy even though there are 100s of other toys out there.
Seeing the kids play with the toys, I think it is worth spending money on purchasing toys and giving them to the kids. But I would like to give them innovative toys, not the regular ones, to support brain development and prevent boredom in the children. Sometimes it feels like I might be spending a lot of money on the toys, but when I see them enjoying the toys, my second thoughts go away. Additionally, I mostly try to avoid plastic toys when purchasing them. I don't have any hard rules; if some toys are very good but still plastic, I would still go for them.
