This heat wey come this year? Omo, e no get joy at all. Sometimes I just sit down and ask myself, "na only me dey feel like roasted corn The sun no dey play this time around.
Everywhere just hot, body dey sweat anyhow, and even sleep at night na struggle. But as e be say we no get choice, I don find my own small-small ways to manage am before body go break down.
One thing wey I no dey joke with now na drinking plenty water. Whether I dey thirsty or not, I must drink. I even set reminder for my phone to dey alert me every few hours. Sometimes I add lime or cucumber inside, just to make am sweet and refreshing. It really dey help me feel cooler from inside.

I also try stay indoors during peak sun hours. If I no really need to go out, I just lock up and relax inside house. I go do anything I need do early morning or wait till evening when breeze don start to blow This one alone don reduce the heat stress for my body
As for inside the house, I dey open window early in the morning to let in fresh air But once the sun don start to rise well, I close all the windows and pull curtain, so heat no enter too much. At night I sleep with fan close to me, and sometimes I soak small towel and put for my neck or forehead it cools body fast.
I also change the kind food wey I dey chop. No more heavy swallow or hot jollof for afternoon. I go just take light meals like fruits watermelon pineapple oranges or small yoghurt. Even cold garri with groundnut dey help sometimes E dey make body calm down small.
Another funny but sweet trick I dey use be say I put my body cream, face spray and roll on inside fridge. So when I apply them e dey cold and relaxing. I even dey rub ice cube small-small for my neck or face. You no go believe how e dey help reduce the heat.
And of course, I don pack all the heavy clothes commot. This period na light, free clothes I dey wear mostly cotton. Inside house, I dey waka with shorts and light top. Anything tight or thick I no even dey near am
Finally I dey try keep my mind cool too because this heat fit make person vex for no reason. So I play calm music, watch funny videos or gist with someone just to lighten my mood. Anger plus heat no be good combo at all.
