Hello everyone your welcome 🤗 to my blog today ❤️.
My plans for emergency money I just laughed out loud thinking about that ,my plug for emergency funds back when I was in school was my mom and my sis , they were the my go to for emergency funds back then in school. And to be honest sometimes in they disappointed 😞 and and at this points if was because sometimes I let my self get to my last 200 naira before I start asking for requesting for money and if they disappoint it makes life difficult for me at that moment.
This is my entry for IndiaUnited weekly contest and the topic is (WHAT'S YOUR PLAN FOR AN EMERGENCY FUND?”). After I left the university and small pocket money wasn't rolling in here and there like it did before whenever I asked for it life became tough, as it wasn't always easy to ask mom or my sister for money.
I realised that I couldn't look up to anyone to give me emergency money, I had to start looking for jobs in so many places to be able to stay a float but like we all know it wasn't easy getting a job in Nigeria. I had to battle with tight work schedule, insecurities that cames with working till late at night . My life was in danger one night when I almost got attacked on my way home.
And after that I made a decision not to over stress myself looking for a job and think of a small business to start so I could earn a little bit of money. So I remembered a friend of mine in school who made pen perfumes and I decided to buy it and see if it sells and to my suprise it sold out pretty well and I had turnovers.
And I was able to save up a lot of money for emergency funds if needed and am glad I was able to pull it off , although it wasn't an easy one but nothing feels better than being able to come through for yourself when you need it the most.
This is where I drop my 🖍️ on this very interesting topic.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today ❤️
