Hello splinter nerds...
The recent hack on Splinterlands hot wallet is something that must be prevented from happening in the future but it also shows how strong splinterlands community is when an asset worth $200k was stolen and dumped in the market but still it didn't affect the price that much...
This week splinterlands battle challenge is on Broken arrows
A rule that indicate that monsters with range attack can not be used and monsters with 2 form of attack including range can't be used too...
It becomes more interesting with the two other rules i was given along with it...
Weak magic: All magic monsters attack the armor first before their attack can touch the health...
Back to basics: All monsters lose their abilities...
The combination of these three rules make the battle must interesting and understandable too.... A situation whereby monster lose their ability, the melee attackers are kind of useless and since range attackers can not be used too, it left me and the opponent with just one choice which are the magic monsters...
It was obvious we were both going to come with lot of magic, three splinters were available, [ water, life and earth], the water splinter is good for magic battle but because of the low mana cap [21] given, i decided to use the life splinter Lorna shine with the shield abiity..
Lorna shine gives me more advantage over the opponent because the first strike to any of my monster will cause them no damage due to the shield ability..
The opponent also came with the life splinter but he used a different summoner called mother khalathat supply the monster she summoned with +1 health...
In this battle, i don't know what the opponent was thinking that made him use a melee attack in the rear position, it doesn't add up lol.
I used two monsters with long health as to delay the opponent from reaching my attacking monsters... The peaceful giant is often used in back to basics battle rule set and pelacor conjurer being a 2 mana monster also have a good health...
The opponent attack does not have a long health but it has armor to protect him due to one of the rule set, it is in favor of armored up monster...
We both came with 3 magic attackers but he lost to me due to my defensive mode, it took him a while before he could reach my magic stars....
