Habits are behaviours that we learn and put into constant use there by becoming a part of us. There are good and bad habits, some habits may be the ones we develop ourselves either during self development or the nature of our job.
I, for one,I picked up the habit of bringing my unfinished work from the office home some time ago. This habit allowed me to finish my work and it made my boss kind of show interest in me but the effect is that it does not allow me to spend quality time with my family, makes me go to bed late, not having enough rest.
This habit made me weaker than I imagined. In the long run I started lagging behind because of frequent sickness and I had to quit the job. After I left the job another person who was hired to replace me complained of the work load and another person was employed to assist. The organisation paid three times what they were paying me and still felt good.On my next job, I make sure to keep office work at the office and give my family especially my children my full attention when I am at home and that really helped.

Another habit I picked is actually a good one. When I was growing up, we usually ate dinner early. We ate dinner at six in the evening. After marriage, office work and home keeping became a handful for me and dinner was never really late at night. I became one of those people who eat into the night and before I knew what was happening I was adding weight in the wrong places like my stomach.
A lot of people thought I was pregnant, it was only people in my inner circle that knew I was not with child. I became uncomfortable with my new look and had to google ways to help reduce and I also consulted a doctor who prescribed interment fasting, portion control and staying hydrated.

After years of trying, it has now become a habit for me to eat my last meal for each day by six in the evening and that has really helped in my weight loss journey. I may not have returned to my previous weight but I am very far from being obsessed all thanks to the feeding habits I picked up.
