I always want to learn something new to add more skills to my arsenal, so I decided to learn another skill: data analysis. In our world that’s filled with data, knowledge on how to use this data for multiply reason would definitely come in handy. My journey into this was not easy, as this was a completely different field for me, so I had a friend who was my accountability partner, and this made my transition smooth. We were both able to complete the course and got our certification, and my friend decided to further his skill acquisition, and he is currently learning AI automation.
Having both skills in my arsenal was really helpful because I was able to apply them when necessary. Basically, I can break down data and present my insights, and I was also able to come up with a few designs and a little bit of user experience. I am still not working as a UI/UX designer nor as a Data Analysis but I have been able to contribute part of what I had learnt from both to fit into my current role.
Lastly, I don't know if I am allowed to consider catfish hatching a skill. If yes, then it is my highest-paying skill. This was a skill I had to go physically to learn for 3 months, and it was also worth it. I would say that I have started making 100% ROI, but at least I have been able to sort some bills using it. So basically, my advice for anyone who wants to learn any skill is to make sure it is two skills at least (one digital and one manual skill). One other skill I hope to learn is solar installation (it just intrigues me), but that would be when I am more stable.
