Traditions like we all know are customs, beliefs, and practice that is passed down from one generation to another. It can be a ritual, ceremony or activity that holds cultural, social and personal significance, often providing a sense of continuity and connection to the past.
Traditions often provide a sense of identity, belonging, and shared values and can be an important part of shaping individuals and collective experience.
The tradition that means a lot to me, and will like to discuss is my family tradition or rituals and I would like to pass the same to my children.
In my family, in terms of religion you are not expected to wash your clothes or stay at home on Sunday morning when everyone is preparing for service. My father will make sure you prepare and leave the house before him. Any day he leaves the house before you, know that day you are in soup (trouble). The only time you are expected to stay away from service on a Sunday morning is if you are very sick and you can not move. Aside from that, no excuses.
Another tradition or ritual in my house is that every night before bed we all gather together to say a word of prayer before going to bed and in the morning the same is done. This has become a ritual in my house and it helps in spiritual growth.
This tradition has helped my life in so many ways and I will want it to continue like with my children and children's children.
These traditions help us in the family to be United and we share what is affecting us when we gather like this. From the gathering, we get to know what one is facing and solutions are offered.
Family gathering is a thing I cherished so much because it makes the love we share stronger and memories are created as well.
This is the tradition or ritual that means a lot to me and I will make sure it continues from generation to generation.
Thank you all for reading. This is my response to the #indiaunited contest.
