There is a part of me I think I will never stop writing about, it is how I joined the hive blockchain, what where my expectation and how the journey has so far been. Thanks to the Dreemport Newbie Marathon challenge, again, I will be sharing my beautiful journey, yes, because Hive is a journey you don't really get to a final destination, as you keep on learning every day, then the truth is the more you learn, savor that knowledge you've gotten, you just can't stop yourself from learning more and that is exactly how my experience on hive has been so far.
My real journey on Hive started around August year 2022, though my account had already been created by my sister @Jessicaossom urging me to join this wonderful blockchain, I was reluctant at first because I thought I couldn't fit in and my busy work schedule made me keep on postponing making an introduction, an action I regret doing, I did not consider myself to be a writer, neither do I spend time on social media though I am a lover of good reads, any book at all, as long as it got me captivated, I'm all yours. as for the likes of Facebook, I felt surfing through Facebook was a total waste of time and data, except catching up with old time friends or when I didn't have something tangible doing, Let's say I lost interest in that web 2.0 platform
Then, my sister couldn't just stop talking about hive and how Hive has been helping her get back on her feet and regain her dwindling confidence due to some challenges she faced, true to her words, there were noticeable changes. I didn't know how to start or if I will fare well, she already prepared my mind that hive wasn't a get-rich-fast platform, all I needed is to believe in the blockchain, contribute my quota, with time, consistency, and good effort the blockchain will notice me and give back. All this gave me the courage to not relent during my early days as a newbie, irrespective of the low votes I was getting, I never relented, the blockchain was already interesting enough due to the uniqueness /originality of each content, and I knew I am here to stay and going back Isn't an option, after all, I've witnessed how hive could make the depressed feel lively, and bring light to a shadowed world.
So far, my journey on Hive can't be termed lesser than amazing, I can count the number of times my earnings on Hive saved the day for me, the more interesting part is I get to share my offline activity as a fashion designer, so it didn't just add up to my life it blended with it as well and I'm ever grateful for the day I finally took the bold step to be a hiver. Through this journey so far I've also made good friends from different parts of the world who were always ready to help and make me enjoy my time here. So here I am contributing my part too.
