Seeing this prompt, I went ahead to check my current Hive power, and I discovered that I still have a very long way to go, like ninety-nine thousand Hive plus, to make it to one hundred thousand Hive power. But then, I am not stopping; I will keep going in my own little way.
So, according to what this prompt said, let's say I just woke up one morning and I met 100K Hive Power in my wallet, maybe by delegation or someone merciful just decided to share it with me. I guess my first reaction won't be to get too excited but a little fearful of not becoming someone I might not recognize. The fear of losing it won't even be on me because over my little time on this platform, I have seen how the power of Hive Power has influenced some people not only on this platform but everywhere. Just a little taste of power has suddenly changed the tone of some people because of the attention they now get. They level up and stop noticing the people that they were together with, those that they write together in the same community, and people who were by their side.
Though I might be moved and tempted to. But I am someone who always considers others, and that is why I will slow down. I will become more aware of my surroundings and become aware of how people interact with me on all levels because I have come to realize that when certain people now realize that they can get something from you, their mood and tone of conversation usually change, and they become calculative.
Then, I will always support all those who are genuine on this platform, most especially those who are putting in good work but their work is not seen. I will not say that because this one is praising me, let me continue to vote for him. No. I will always put myself in others shoes and see myself in them.
I am not sure if I will build anything yet, though I have an idea of a small project in mind. Not something loud, but something that those who believe in this platform can utilize...
Power can be a very tricky tool because it can bring out the real person, I mean the inner person, in anyone or hide it. But what I always hope and pray for is that I will not misuse it or change the way I see those around me. And that that will speak louder than the Hive power in my account.
