Saving money means that the person wants to be intentional about how many comes in and goes out of their pockets. In a country like Nigeria, saving money has to be a strict strict and disciplined essential that a person must carry out to the fullest because you have to avoid spending money on unnecessary things and focusing on that which is important.
No doubt we are all humans and we tend to be involved in impulse buying and mostly stores that are not necessarily important at the moment but we the way is going it is important to save money for different occasions which has to deal with house rent, education, transportation, emergency and so one.
In a contemporary world, saving money is not a difficult task anymore as there are many options that people can partake in to save and get interest on their monies. One of the ways that I save money is true the common banking system which is Opay, although people downgrade them but they have a way of making people save money and earn interest on them unlike the conventional banking system that are so ridiculous with how they deal with people's monies in their bank account. On the Opay app, i just saved money in a way that I would earn interest and also be able to withdraw my money at any point in time.
There are other apps that I use which includes cowrywise and piggyvest, these are savings app that allow you to save money in accordance to how you want it they have different options of emergency savings, house rent savings, car, education, home and so on. There are many options that allow you to save for a period of time let's say 3 months, 6 months or a year. On this platforms you can even invest in buying mutual funds or nigerian stocks which is quite advisable for people to partake in.
Finally, we save by budgeting and separating our needs from wants, this helps to prioritize what is important and what is not.
