First time earning

Money is very important in our life, and it's because in every step we need money. At least we need money to fulfill our basic needs. There are many ways to get money, but the best way to get money is earning money through hard work or making your own effort. Such a thing builds up confidence in a person, and that's the thing that can help us to be self-dependent rather than depending on others. The first time earning is the first step of self-dependency, and I think everyone can remember the first time earning because it was the first step to becoming independent in life. What's your story, and what's your feeling about it? I am going to share mine.

To be honest, I didn't have any monthly pocket money. To be honest, I never heard of pocket money. Whenever I needed something, I asked my parents, and they gave it to me or brought it to me. I think it was only for rich kids, not for people from middle-class families. But I had the habit of saving money from an early age because I learned it from my mother. She didn't need to teach me anything about it manually. I just learned it by watching her. Let's come back to the topic of my first earnings, and I can clearly remember that it was the month of May in 2018.

I was never a skillful person, and naturally, I didn't have any experience doing any work. But after being admitted to my university, I felt it was time I should try to be self-dependent. I should not be dependent on my parents even after studying at the university. I didn't know what I could do for them, but at least I didn't want to be a burden for them. The reason I set the meeting was my self-realization of being self-dependent. So what could I do to make money?

I had only one thing, and it is my knowledge, and I had a good academic career since my childhood. Additionally, I was reading at a top university. So finding a tutor wasn't such a difficult task for me. And I felt being a home tutor is quite respectable with a paid salary. I don't need to do so many things for it except sharing my knowledge. Such a thing represents that knowledge has value. My first morning was $60, which I earned by my own ability, and I just needed to teach the student for only 12 days in a month, and it was indeed handsome money considering the oral situation, and it was enough for me for the month.

To be honest, I was not so super excited because it does not suit my personality. Nor did I feel like I achieved something huge. I heard that many people feel a sense of achievement when they receive their salary, but in my case, I felt nothing. In my mind, it was something I deserved when I got it. Nor did I do something special with my first earnings. But after earning for several months, I felt good thinking about something. It was not for money; it was for being self-dependent. That's all about my experience related to the first earning of my life.
