It's 2025, and we are living in a digital world. In this digital world, we have advanced technologies. The development of technology over the last few decades is so impressive that the word "magic" fits it perfectly. The development and growth of advanced technologies are accelerating over time. To be honest, I didn't expect the development could be so fast, but it's the reality, and I can understand it. The current situation of AI technology is the best example of it. I am sure many people didn't expect AI technology would be so popular within a few years. I used to stay upgrade about the news related to advanced technologies. Instead of it I didn't expect AI to reach the current position so fast.
What is the true purpose of technological invention and development? I guess it is known to all that technology is for making our lives easier and comfortable. That's the true purpose of technology, and all technological development, improvement, or invention always focuses on it. If I start talking about the advantages and the benefits of advanced technologies, it will be endless because there are so many things to say, but I am not going for it, as I know everyone knows about it quite well. But nothing in this world comes with only advantages. If there are advantages, then there must be disadvantages to it. Let me share some disadvantages here.
Smartphones and computers are both the most popular devices in this digital world, and almost everyone uses both devices or at least smartphones. In the present world, thinking about life without a smartphone is nearly impossible because, for various purposes, we need it. Instead of having many advantages, it created distance between close people. Human interactions have physically decreased a lot because most people are busy with their smartphones. It's like smartphones connected us to people all over the world, but they've created a wall between family members and close people. It was not the purpose of technology, and technology is not to blame, as we are the controllers of it. We have to blame, but somehow it's the effect of using technology too much.
At the beginning, I talked about AI, and it's one of the most trending topics at the present time. Having AI technology or having advanced AI tools has made many things easier for us. It is so much more powerful than people, enough that it can do many things in faster way and more accurately compared to humans. Unfortunately, the same thing that is an advantage is a disadvantage here. AI is very powerful, and because of that, it can replace human tasks in various ways, and naturally, many people are losing their jobs. I agree that it can create opportunities when it replaces humans in various aspects, but for that, a human needs to be more skillful, and it's not possible for many people due to various kinds of limitations.
So what technologies are actually doing? Is it making our life here, or is it making our life more complicated? I think it's making life easier, even if it has some disadvantages. We are in such a situation where we cannot can't stay without technology, as we are already used to it and we need updated technology for various purposes in our daily life. In case of a life complication that is related to technology, it mostly depends on our choice, and so I think we can reduce the chances of complications if we are concerned about it.
