I joined hive in February 2023. I have spent three years on hive. I have almost explored everything about hive.
Good Things about Hive
Hive is completely different from web2 platforms like YouTube, Facebook, X etc. At web2 platforms, you don't have complete ownership and control over your account. But on hive, we have complete ownership and control over our account. No one can ban our account here. No specific owner of this interface exist which is great merit of this platform.
On YouTube , Facebook etc first you need to monetize your channel or page. Most of the people quit before monetization because it's a long and hardworking process. On the other hand #hive is completely different from web2 platforms. Here you earn from day one. No monetization needed for hive and this is one of it's great merit.
If you stay consistent on hive for more than two years and you accumulate good amount of ho then you can earn passive income from this platform by delegating your hp to different communities. I have delegated my ho to zingtoken, India united and Helios account and earning good passive income.
We can withdraw any amount from our hive wallet instantly. Zero withdrawal fee is the biggest merit of this interface.

Bad Things About Hive
This interface also have some demerits.....
After working for three years on hive, I still have less than 300 USD in my wallet. Hive price is too much low compare to other coins. Although this coin has a complete blockchain behind it but still I don't know why it's price is still very low.
Unfortunately people who are using hive, don't promote this interface on web2 platforms like YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram etc. This is quite unfortunate. It's our responsibility to promote this coin on social media so that new users join this platform.
I noticed seldom quality posts cannot get attention of big whales. In this way user who produce quality content discouraged badly.
I noticed few users get downvotes also because of unknown reasons. This trend should be discouraged instantly.
Here experienced users also not getting enough support on this platform. Users whose repo is above 69 or 70 should be treated as gold customers and should get more support.
A new user without proper guidance and enough hive power cannot survive on hive. New user need hive power to write blogs and comment on other posts but a user who don't get support, cannot survive here on this platform.
Final Thoughts
Hive is a wonderful platform. All we need to promote this interface on web2 platforms like Facebook YouTube Instagram etc and make sure people understand it's value. Proper marketing of this platform should be done otherwise it's price will remain low. Every experienced user should take responsibility of guiding new users and delegating them hive power, so that they may continue their hive journey. Votes on the basis of liking and downvotes on the basis of disliking should be strongly discouraged. A huge community should be made for students. So that they may share their experiences about education there.
