To be honest, our environment really needs serious savings. There are just so many things affecting it, and all these issues are part of what is causing climate change today.
First of all, there are so many machines, factories, generators, and cars that release harmful gases into the air. These vehicles normally release carbon dioxide (CO₂), which is very dangerous to the atmosphere.
The painful part is that we use most of these things every single day without even thinking about the long-term effect they have on our environment. In many places, especially in big cities, the air is no longer as fresh as it used to be because of the constant smoke coming from cars and industries.
Now, one effective way these gases can be controlled is through the planting of trees. As an agriculture student , i can say for a fact that afforestation helps a lot. First of all, trees naturally help to take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen. This makes the air cleaner and safer for us to breathe. Now, when more trees are planted around our homes, along the roads, and in open spaces, it reduces the circulation of this harmful gases into the atmosphere and not just that it can also help to prevent flooding. In fact,if individuals, communities, and the government take tree planting seriously, it will go a long way in improving the condition of our environment.
Another wat to save our environment is through recycling. Many of the things we throw away every day are still useful, but because we are used to a throw-away lifestyle, we don’t even think twice before dumping them. I could remember that some soft drink bottles have the word "Recyle me" bodly written on them, but then some people still decide to throw them away.
One thing my mum usually does is to always keep plastic bottles after using it. We then make use of these bottles to sometimes hold our toothbrush, and then she also uses them to even take water a long time when she is going to places like the church.
The truth is plastic bottles, nylons, cans, cartons, old newspapers, and even some food containers can be recycled instead of being left to block drainage or litter the streets. So basically, when these waste materials are recycled, they tend to reduce the amount of dirt in the environment and also reduce pollution.
Honestly, if we make it a habit to separate our waste and dispose of them properly, the environment will be much cleaner and healthier.
