I've had countless weekends but thankfully, I can count a good amount of the past weekends that were near perfect or really good that I wished to experience them again. Even though I have planned a few weekends that turn out well for me, there are the ones that turned out more badly than I imagined. But I have a perfect one in mind.
Like everyone else, I always look forward to the weekends even though my week days are almost like the weekends to me. It's because I'm excited for what the incoming week has in store for me and I get to decide how to spend my weekend my way. If I could plan my perfect weekend, I'd prioritise my own self, family and the new week.
One thing I find hard to do is, actually care for myself as I should. Distractions and the need to keep others in comfort mostly take my time that I forget I also need the comfort and self care. I remember how amazing it felt when I chose myself over everything else just for that day, I ate better, rested better and complimented myself.
It's something I don't do often for myself and I want to change that but until then, I'll say my perfect weekend will start for me going on a self care routine on a Friday. From body massage to manicure and pedicure to yoga for a better sleep moment, I believe I'd be boosted to feel very good all week if I have such routine especially, paid for.
And then on the Saturday of the weekend, I'd spend the whole day with family. Of course, with breaks to continue my self care but that is mainly to bond more with my family and the highlight of that Saturday will be, trying out something new with my family. And the one thing I've always wanted to do with them is, visit a beach for fun.
Having a nice time with my family, away from our usual routines and away from home with all smiles and bonding moments telling stories about our funny and beautiful times, I think that will be a huge booster for myself and my family to go through the incoming week with more vigor and confidence. And it's a way to be more closer.
Planning for a new week is becoming a bit difficult for me but for the weekends I know went well, were the ones I planned my new week activities in. Thanks to a new skill I've been learning, I know better now how to plan for my new week and live the most of the week without getting burned out like it would normally be like.
