It’s very easy for us to feel demotivated especially when it seems like things are not getting any better no matter how much we try. Right now, I’m in a time in my life when I feel really demotivated but I’m just still holding on because I think I know what to do when I need motivation. I feel so blessed to be surrounded by amazing people, friends and family alike and they are one of my greatest sources of motivation.
These past few days has been hell for me but they have always been there for me. Always checking up on me and making sure that they are there when I need them. When I need motivation, talking or chatting with them is one of the things I do to get motivation to scale through whatever I might be going through.
Besides that, I also enjoy listening to music when I need motivation. I have different playlists for different times in my life. I know the playlist to play songs from when I need motivation and it works like magic most times and the few times when it doesn’t, I try to eat something really tasty and nice.
Another thing I do when I need motivation is evaluate myself and see the progress I have made. I count my blessings and that gives me so much motivation. Knowing how much struggles I have had to face at different times and how God brought me out stronger is a great source of motivation to me too.
But in all of these things, I still find myself feeling demoralizing especially in times like this when I’m not certain in any way what the next minute holds for me. And at this point, I just want to keep trusting in God to take control of everything. And it is also at this point I like talking to my sister who somehow just knows exactly how to give me hope. I guess maybe it’s easy for her to do because her name is Hope but I always feel motivated and lighter after talking to her.
So all these and some other things are what I do when I need motivation. Of course it doesn’t always work this way all the time but I at least try to do any or most of these things when I feel demotivated and it doesn’t disappoint me.
