I'm seeing that a lot of us have become wiser as regards to new year resolutions as it's no longer the usual "New Year, New Me" but "New Year, Same Me, Same Goals, More intentions" which I think it speaks louder about one being aware of their situation, their goals and pushing forward.
Last year was a wonderful one for many reasons, in both the positives and the negatives. There were times in last year I almost thought I'll achieve nothing before the year end, I didn't know things were only working that way to take me to where I haven't thought to be until I actually did.
I've been learning so much for a while that I don't even think it measures to all the learnings I've had before them. I've become wiser, intentional and I know better what to let hurt me and what not to. Just a few minutes ago, I lost some good amount of money but it doesn't change my goals.
The year just started and I've already gotten the question "What have you achieved this year?" It may be a funny question but I took it seriously and thought back to my first 3 days in January, about what have worked and what haven't. I could do that because I had goals in mind before.
I have goals in mind but they are not my new year resolutions as I started to work on them before the year started, so I don't stop anytime into January. But if I do have a new year resolution, it is "To be more intentional" about everything in this new year from decisions made to actions.
Thankfully, 2025 gave me a headstart on a path that will bring me to opportunities and one of my few goals is to prepare waiting to meet those opportunities. The preparation process haven't been easy, I have to stay up late, wake early but the best part of it is, I'm intentional and excited.
I have a clear goal and a guided path, the only resolution to take seriously all year round is to be intentional in going on the set path to my goals. The goals may be simple ones which I won't share yet but with my believe and from the perspective I see them, they are life changing.
With the right positioning, continuous learning, putting to practice all I've learned and staying true to one action at a time... My new year resolution is bringing me closer to my life goals and I don't plan to slow down, instead, I'll find more reasons to keep this journey moving on.
