My response to the @Indiaunited Contest - Theme-: "How Would You Convince Someone To Start Their Hive Journey?"

With my experience I feel that getting someone on Hive is very easy but keeping them hooked on to Hive is the bigger challenge. In past I have tried for many of my friends to join Hive, and some of them have joined as well, but after some months they have given up. Reasons are many, not enough motivation, do not have a passion for writing, wanting quick results and money. All these factors slowly gradually drift them apart.
I have convinced them by showing my own results on Hive and how I have managed to grow my Hive Power, even though the current price may be down, I show them the market trends of how Hive rise when the whole market is up, and how over a period of time one can make a good fortune for themselves, become independent and can quit their jobs also over a period of few years if done all right and well. They do get carried away when they see my Hive balance but when they actually start on their own and do not get enough earnings, then soon get disappointed. I also try to explain them that I have built my journey over years and it's not only about months, but people do not have patience these days. They want quick results.

Sadly, whoever I got on Hive, has all quit now. I still do try but to be honest, I do not push hard enough. There is a reason behind it. I have had bad experiences from those I have convinced to join. When they want to quit or not continue, they want me to buy their Hive, and in that moment sometimes the price is high so it gets heavy for me to pay them in equivalent cash. It becomes a burden for me then, and they keep bugging me forever. They would make me feel like they joined only because I forced them to. Because they do not want to sell in the market as that will show in their accounts, income coming from crypto and they will have to pay tax on it. Their easy argument is since I am continuing on Hive, it will be useful for me. But they do not realize that money is going from my pocket real and I do not know when I will get a chance to sell what I buy from them. Also, if the price goes down more then it's loss for me.
Twice it has happened. Once I bought for .12 and once for .18. So as brutal it may sound, I have stopped convincing people to start on Hive. If someone is struggling, I do show them the path and then leave it for them to take a decision but I do not give push that they should join.
