NAMASTE EVERYONE!
Happy brand new week to everyone on this amazing indiaunited community. Welcome to the last week in the 8th month of the year 2025. God has been awesome, isn't He? Yeah the mere fact that we're alive today testifies to that. I'm and I'm super excited to participate in this week's contest iuc9.
The topic is awesome and thought provoking.
Success as a theme actually means a lot of things to a lot of people. To some it's acquisition of wealth, power, fame etc while to some, it's just living a meaningful and purposeful life and being at peace with everyone.
Success is totally personal and subjective, not based on a general point of view. It could be financial, emotional, educational, intellectual, social, etc etc
Success involves achievement of one's personal goals and ambitions. Of course here, everyone cannot have one and the same goal, though people's goals can be similar in some aspects but never in entirety.
My goal in life can be for me to have a happy family, have financial freedom and be able to get my basic needs in life not necessarily wants which of course that's my goal, yet another person's goal may be beyond that, to the extent of achieving societal influence and recognition. To the latter, he/she isn't successful until that goal of societal recognition is accomplished.
I also define success in terms of personal growth. What new things have I learned as I continue my pursuit of success in life? It's pertinent to emphasize at this point that success is progressive. If I still remain at the level of knowledge I had yesterday without any improvement whatsoever then I'm not successful.
My perception of success also boils down to the impact I'm making on others in my little sphere. Like I commented under someone's post in this contest, my pastor usually say that people remember us for two things: the problems we create and the ones we solve. So I look at what value or contribution have I been able to make on the people around me, that's success for me.
CONCLUSION: In concluding terms, success isn't just about acquiring wealth but enjoying peace and tranquility. I mean of what use is wealth if you can't enjoy it, you build a house yet you can't sleep in that house, you're restless everytime, that's bondage not success.
So success is having inner peace, contentment, personal growth, achieving my full potential in life, creating a positive difference in the environment I live, buildinghealthy relationships etc etc can't exhaust it all here.
Hope my write up made a little sense. Thanks everyone for engaging.
