Good day, my fellow hivers. I hope you are well and doing great wherever you are today. it's a pleasure to have you stop by my blog again π€β£οΈ
So today, I will like to share my opinion on humility. I think this is one attribute some people find so difficult to practice whereas it takes nothing to be humble. I have seen someone who regards a humble person as a weak human being. All my effort to convince the young guy that very day proved abortive. In his words, he said, "be a man, take charge, never bend your head so low to anyone otherwise you lose your respect". These were the words he stands on but to me, he was wrong. Now, being humble doesn't mean that people won't respect you, it doesn't mean you are stupid, it means that you are smart and also value others. Let me state it this way, If you want to succeed in life, be humble
Take for instance learning from your younger ones. It's only a humble person that will remove pride and grab knowledge from his or her junior. We are all endowed with knowledge differently irrespective of our ages. Times, I see my junior ones with undiluted knowledge that I know nothing about. In this case, I care less about who is senior, I will humble myself and plead with the person to teach me whatever it is. In the past, I have learned a lot from people I knew when they were born, I go so low to add more knowledge to myself and that isn't a sign of weakness but wisdom I think. Here in hive, I have run to people I knew when they joined to teach me one or two things I found so wonderful from their blogs. Humility becomes a way of achieving more success in this regard.
Let's look at Daddies at home...Some men are just too humble to the core and that's admirable. They assist their wives in the kitchen, assist the kids, assist even in other house chores to make things easier for their wives and family at large and that's an act of humility. Now with this kind of humble Dad at home, both his wife and children will love him more, bond more, and respect him more for being involved in their daily activities, for a man that has the opportunity thoughπ
I have also seen a boss in the office so humble to his staff. He practically demonstrates humility while working with the staff...it's a good standard he set, and he gets his respect and more for being humble. That Boss was my former boss at my former workplace. Indeed, humility is a good attribute worthy of emulation.
Just like I mentioned before, it takes nothing to be humble, humility rather brings side success which being pride can never bring.
That's all for my thoughts ππ today and I do hope you learned one thing π
Many thanks for visiting my blog
Do have a fruitful day ahead!!!
