What would I actually do if I had 100K Hive Power? sounds like all those questions on X or twitter of “what if you suddenly became rich” type of thoughts, but this is more achievable i believe. 100k hp mehn, not just the value but the influence. It is visibility on the platform and now I’m trying to really think through what that would mean beyond just “more rewards.”
What is the Hive Power, is not just about holding tokens for its value, It determines how much weight your vote carries, how much you can earn through curation, and most importantly how much influence you have over the ecosystem. So having 100K HP basically puts you in a position where your actions can directly shape outcomes on the platform. Sounds powerful, right? Yes , it is. i wish i had 100k bruh....
The first thing I’d probably do is curate more intentionally. That level of influence will be so nice to have, especially curtaing for new users. I’d want to support smaller creators, people who are actually putting effort into their content but are not getting the visibility they deserve. Because one thing I’ve noticed is that on Hive is that some people really put effort into their posts but lack visibility and the rewards to go with them.
But then again, that sounds good in theory.
Because once you have that kind of power, it’s easy to fall into patterns. You might start supporting the same circle of people. You might unconsciously favor content that aligns with your own views. And before you know it, you’re not really “discovering” anymore, you’re reinforcing a bubble, the same bubble that you were trying to burst. So even the idea of “helping others” becomes complicated. Another thing ive noticed at least with those that have considerable hive power is that they tend to support communities, prompts or quizzes and id definitely do that with 100K HP. Im sure most of the popular communities on here started off small and became bigger and bigger to the point they are now.
Then of course there’s the earning aspect let’s be honest, part of having 100K HP is the financial side, the curation rewards, influence and long-term value,, who knows if maybe one day hive gets 1 dollar. I’d definitely think about growing it and compounding it.
Also the reputation, people notice you. Your votes matter and that can be a good thing because it gives you a voice, but it also creates pressure. People might expect support. It will not be good for the ecosystem for someone with that much hive power to be silent or go for a long time without contributing.
