People have found themselves in different different platforms and maybe they were scammed or promise heaven and earth and it didn't come to pass as promised, people are now being sceptical of the platform they sign into, some are not even ready to start any again. But hive is a nice place to be and the reward alone was mouthwatering and convincing , although it's still convincing to those of us that have spent some time here, but to the new comers, especially those that are not really into all these social media of a thing, it will be a bit difficult to convince them. But there are still some strategies to use.
I remember , my friend that introduce me to the platform , took some days to convince me. At a point she told me that after showing me that , she will fund my account with some HP to start, and that it was just for me to believe that it's real and working, I was touched. After all is it not writing, I have been writing , so it will not really take me much since I am not spending anything yet, I said to myself. She told me to download Ecency app so that we start the classes. I did as instructed and the onboarding session started. She took time to school me and she was patient enough to attend to my numerous questions, because if it's to ask questions, I can do that. But addresd all my questions and I made my very first post, the curation level was encouraging, I started doing it and here I am today still pushing.
So for me, I do tell people , that there is a platform that they can write, and get rewarded and all the post they have been doing in the other platform without being rewarded, all the chats they have been taking time to chart and get nothing in return, that they can convert that time to writing on hive, expressing their thoughts right from the comfort of their room and get rewarded in the process. I let them know that even writing on the platform alone will improve their writing and reasoning skill. I also tell them that I will fund them with some HP to start the process, which they will return letter or pay for it. And to make it more convincing after their first 3 weeks of writing , I encourage them to withdraw their first earnings to real cash and immediately that is done, they become more encouraging to write, because they can now see that it's real . Why I do that is , because I understand that no matter how you talk, if some financial benefits is not attached to your speech then you might be wasting your English. So I encourage them to withdraw first before they start building the next on the platform.
And that has always worked.
