Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. As grown-ups we have been exposed to a lot of things and wished we had had someone advise us or give us a hint about all of it when we were younger so that we could have prepared ourselves and braced for impact, but there was no forewarning, and life took us unawares, thereby sweeping us off our feet. We could barely stand what life threw at us; it took a lot of staggering and strength to be able to withstand it for some, while for some it pushed them down completely, and they are still struggling to get back to their feet.
Life would have been a lot easier if, as kids, we had people give us real advice on both how to act right and not go against any moral codes and also how to build finances at a younger age. The mistake those before us made was thinking one needed to come of age or get to a certain age before they attain financial stability or talk about finances, so all of their advice and strength was channelled towards making sure we don't go rogue or get involved in immoral things, but now wanting to attain financial stages has caused a lot of youths and young people my age to go rogue, which could have been avoided if financial advice had been offered to us when we were younger. If only the importance of finances had been emphasised to us when we were younger, maybe a lot of things happening today wouldn't be happening.
A lot of recent happenings and young people going rogue today could have been avoided if those older than us when we were younger did not only focus on building and working on our morals; if only some of the energy was channelled towards teaching us the importance of finances and why we should take them seriously. But instead, they only focused on morals, and now we are grown-ups, and we have no choice other than going against those morals to help build our financial life.
If I were to talk to my younger self or advise my younger self after everything I have seen, I would definitely make an emphasis on finances and how he should take his finances seriously. My country does not really value education; with all I have seen, I might even advise him to make his finances a priority instead of education because in the end there is no reward for making education a priority, but there is a huge reward for making your finances a priority.
