Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. Trust me, I think every Hive user's dream is to have lots and lots of Hive power, enough for them to use and execute whatever plans and goals that they have for the platform. One of the determining factors for a user to be able to achieve anything on the Hive platform is the amount of Hive power in their control, whether theirs or support from a whale. The reason many communities are no longer active is because the one behind the community did not have a hive power of his or her own, and also maybe they lost the support of the whale that was with them at the start of the journey, and when users (community users and engagers) don't see support like expected or as it should be, they are forced to give up because curation rewards are a motivating factor for users to keep coming back.
So in order for any of your goals or dreams on the Hive platform to become a reality, you must have just enough Hive power in your possession or control just enough to make it happen; most of the time it is better to have yours than even depend or rely on support from whales. Many people on the hive platform have their own dreams and plans for the platform but don't have enough hive power to make it a reality. Without enough hive power, you can still start, but your chances of failing and your dreams staying dreams become very high.
So if I wake up one morning and realize I now control over 100k Hive power, I also have a project of mine in mind, which is to help newbies stay on the platform. When being onboarded, you are told the goodness of Hive and how it can change your life for good, but then you join as a newbie, and everything you are told starts to look like a lie because what you see on the Hive platform as a newbie is completely different from the stories onboarders tell you. Newbies get little or no support, and like I said before, as much as we want the platform to go from glory to glory, curation rewards are a motivating factor to see that through, and even newbies deserve some so they stay, and that way the community keeps growing.
Newbies also find it difficult to navigate the platform, so providing them with a guide while providing them with just enough support to motivate them is definitely going to make them stay, and that way we don't have newbies joining and leaving because they feel it is difficult to blend in or that what they were told was a lie to just get them to join. I really want to support newbies and help them stay because I was a newbie once and my experience was really terrible; I left, and somehow I found my way back, but many don't find their way back.
