The main cause of distraction in the digital world that we are now is social media.

I get distracted with social media, I'm too attached to my phone I can't do without pressing my phone. In fact that's the first thing I do when i wake up in the morning. It affected me a lot when I was still working, I will press it,thinking there is time until time pass and I will end up going late to work.i find it hard to stop and to stay focus because I have allow it to be part of my morning routine and is not suppose to be.
I see social media has an addiction that is hard to quiet. I was not attached to it alone, i was addicted and i can use my last penny to subscribe. There was a time i do feel down when i'm broke, after using almost all the money i have to subcribe just to watch video and picture on social media.
I have done it for years, before i realized that if I don't stop pressing my phone in the morning and stop been addicted,I will continue to go late and I wont stop being distracted.
This are the things i do to stay focus in the world full of distraction
I silence my notifications,I turn off alerts for emails,instant messages, social media apps to prevent interruption. I put my phone on do not disturb,at times i switch it off and i put it somewhere far away to avoid distraction.
Time blocking, I schedule specific times for checking emails and social media, rather than constantly monitoring them.
I limit my screen time,i reduce my screen time especially on distraction apps.
I avoid multitasking,multitasking reduces focus and productivity. So I just do single tasking. One task at a time to avoid distraction.
Prioritize tasks,i create a do list and I tackle the most important tasks first.
I set a goals, i write my goals down and i place them where i can see them for constant reminder of what i'm trying to accomplish.
I pratice mindfulness; i meditate to train my brain and i try to put my mind at rest....
