A wise man once said: Every SUCCESSFUL person has a story and every painful story has a SUCCESSFUL ending. Accept the PAIN and get ready for SUCCESS. - UNKNOWN...
Success is one of the aspirations of every man alive. I never knew how addictive success was until i started winning in life. I grew up with the initial thought that every man has to win BIG in life before they can be termed successful, little did i know there was more to being successful than i thought. I never really got to celebrate my small wins because i never saw them as being successful, i just saw them as some small wins that came as a compensation for a good job well done. These were my early views and understanding of success. As time went by, i started seeing things differently and the things i saw differently gradually shifted and shaped my initial thoughts and views on the word SUCCESS...
The more i grew the more i came to understand how big the word SUCCESS is and because of this i started seeing things differently. What actually changed my views and thoughts on success was a podcast i came across many years ago, this podcast started as a joke, and because i found what the guest was saying funny, i decided to stick around a bit longer, few minutes into the podcast the whole conversation switched and just there success was being discussed as a topic. It was at this point my curiosity was picked...
I didn't know how it happened but before i realize it i was almost thirty minutes into the podcast. How i came across that podcast that day is a big puzzle till this day. I was never the same after that podcast, and that was how i became a fan of podcasts, though I'm not a hundred percent fan, but when i come across a possible life shaping podcasts, i don't hesitate to give to give it a trial...
I was never the same after that mystery podcast, the whole conversation had one or two take home for me. It was at this point i realized every big wins started with a small win. I started celebrating my small wins after then and with time things started looking pretty much different and interesting. The wins i considered small were actually wins so many people out there work their buff off to achieve. There is no shortcut to a long lasting success, every successful man out there didn't just wake up one day and stumbled upon their success. They all started from somewhere, works were done, sacrifices were made and results were presented...
As we all know of this popular saying; "little drop of water makes a mighty ocean". To be successful in life, you don't just need to hope and dream about it, you need to work towards it...
One of my greatest discoveries in life regarding humans is the fact we mostly measure and define our success in close relation to finance, which is quite wrong if i'm to be honest with you all. Being successful doesn't necessarily have to be financially based. Achieving any type of milestone is another definition of success, achieving a long term goal is another definition of success. Wealth doesn't necessary have to be your only definition of success. These achievements which might be small and unworthy of celebration to many out there is what some people having been praying for all their life, and the moment they bag it, it's another step closer to the overall success story...
Celebrating every milestone, every achieved goal, every small win, be it financial wise, academic wise or in any other aspect of life is my definition of SUCCESS. Being alive, hale and hearty is another definition of success to me, and that's because without life there can't be anything like celebrating both big and small wins. Success is only achieved by he who has life in him...
Right now i am the best definition of a SUCCESSFUL MAN, and that's because i am alive, and because i am alive there is still a strong hope of bagging the biggest bag. It might not be today, tomorrow, next week, next month or next year, but i will definitely bag it big financially someday. This is what we call the LIFE-CHANGING WIN...
In summary, every of our small wins, milestone and achievements deserve to be celebrated and appreciated, and that is because they contribute to the overall success story, If you reading this post now, then you are also successful and that's because you have life in you...
Success is not and should not be only measured financially, it is collection of different achieved goals and milestone. And don't forget there is a big clear difference between financial stability and financial success, they might walk on the same path but they always have a different destination...
