Friends, today I went to visit Nanda Devi temple during the day. I visited the temple. This temple is located in Almora district of Uttarakhand. I took many pictures. This is a famous temple of Uttarakhand, this temple is hundreds of years old. This temple is completely made of stones. People come here from far and wide to visit the temple.
Friends, rows of animals have been carved in the lower strips, which depict animals like cow, elephant, lion, and horse. And in the middle strips, human figures, such as war, dance, or religious rituals have been depicted and figures of some gods or religious symbols have also been depicted.
Friends, this art style is inspired by traditional Indian folk art like Warli, Madhubani or Pithora. We make such artworks on the walls of our homes, temples and religious places. This motif made on a red background looks very beautiful.
