My friend has always told me to join him in the Hive blockchain, even at the beginning of our friendship. This friend participates in the singing communities on Hive and wanted me to come join him in singing and earn as well. What I have discovered about hive and love about it is the communal relationship; the community has a way of bringing individuals together through their prompt. Like the music communities, for instance, that will host concerts on a weekly theme or a writing community that has us write on various topics and also encourages us to interact with one another on the Hive blockchain.
Through participation on the Hive blockchain, I have met a lot of people with whom I am now friends and who are an important part of my life. The Hive blockchain has helped me do that; it creates an atmosphere where people and individuals feel respected and seen. Among the highlights of my day is reading through comments on my post; I can remember my singing days on Hive. It was the comments I got from the participation that had me wanting to improve my singing and participate more. It got me learning how to sing on key and started loving to never miss participating in the weekly concerts in the communities.
The issues and challenges that one may find on the Hive blockchain are mostly curation. While I was still participating in the music communities, I noticed that the music communities have better support initiatives in comparison to the writing communities. The curation you get from a post could cover the curation you get from writing for a month. The reward system somethings don’t feel fair, even when you put a lot of effort into your post.
My motivation to write on the blockchain, however, has not been the monetary reward that is attached to my participation; my motivation has been one of self-improvement. I discovered that I was getting better at singing, and since the writing communities would also give me opportunities for improvement, I figured I might as well start writing. That decision has had a positive impact on my day-to-day life.
It will be encouraging to have monetary rewards for the time one puts into participation in the prompt. This will encourage many people to participate in the daily prompt; community support will always be a source of encouragement.
