War is a situation where two or more nations act against each other in violence, through an organised armed conflict, causing serious casualties and destruction of properties and lives. War has been seen to be nothing but destructive, destroying a standing peace in a nation or nations, separating love between family members of the society, and causing nothing but pain in the affected nations. There is a song that goes "War! What is it good at? Absolutely nothing!”
Humans have been selfish creatures since the beginning of time, always seeking things that benefit them personally and not minding who they affect negatively. It was told in the bible that in the beginning, Cain murdered his brother Abel as a result of his jealousy towards him. Imagine having the population of the world to be just four, and you still have a case of murder. It proves that the world has been a wicked place right from the beginning of time.
Countries go to war to prove which nation is stronger. A fight starts usually from a simple misunderstanding, one that could be settled through deliberation and communication, but because they want to prove their dominance over the other, they tend to go to war. Most time, both parties refuse to give in to the demand of the other, which results in war in the end.
War has been seen to be an economic interest to some nations and it leaders since we have those nations who benefits from the activities of war, from the sale of arms, causing the rise in the production of arms by unaffected nations increasing their foreign trade and fostering a strength to their currency, creating room for creativity, innovation, military research and advancement, war brings about the acquisition of resources and territories by the winning nations.
Conflicts and misunderstandings should be discussed, allowing understanding between the parties involved. When there is a conflict, the best and safest way to resolve it is by dialogue, understanding that the other person is what really matters the most. One must show empathy for peace to reign in any relationship, be it between two people or two nations, until both parties are well understood and satisfied with the outcome.
