I am back with another Splinterlands blog, and today we are going to talk about some new features that were recently introduced in the game. I think most people who are actively playing Splinterlands might have already noticed them.
One of the new features is called Lux's Favor. It gives players access to a Wheel of Fortune where you can spin and win rewards, as you can see in the screenshot below.
I spin the wheel and won 50 Spark points, which you can also see in the screenshot below.
Now there is also a Spark Shop where these Spark points can be exchanged for NFTs. These NFTs are actually skins for already existing cards in the game, which is a really interesting addition.
Now let us get back to our regular activity by heading over to the mana well.
As you can see in the screenshot below, I had 13 Foundation chests waiting for me today. So we opened them to see what rewards we would get.
In the screenshot below, you can see the first half of the rewards. Honestly, I was happy with today’s pack opening because I won an epic card from the Earth category, and I really needed that card since I have not maxed it out yet.
In the next screenshot, you can see the second half of the opening where I won two more epic cards.
So overall, this was a really good pack opening for me because winning three epic cards in one session is definitely something worth celebrating.
Now let me share one of the battles I played today, which came with the Bloodlust modifier.
In the screenshot below, you can see the battle lineup where I used the Fire element while my opponent went with the Water element.
Below, you can see Round 2 of the battle where the score was 4 vs 4. Initially, the battle started as 5 vs 5, so at that point things were still balanced.
However, in the final screenshot, you can see that the battle turned into 3 vs 1 in my favor, and I successfully won the match.
So that is all I did in Splinterlands today. Winning three epic cards really made my day. I also got to experience the new Lux Favour feature with the Wheel of Fortune and Spark rewards, which I found quite interesting.
Apart from that, I also played a nice Bloodlust modifier battle and managed to win it.
Now coming to Terracore, there seems to be some issue going on in the game right now. Because of that, I was unable to claim my mining scrap, and I also could not use my attacks.
I hope the team fixes the issue soon so we can continue playing the game normally again. I think this has something to do with recent hive-engine hack but no matter what the reason is, I hope it is fixed soon.
