Hello everyone and Nameste to my India friends. We are here again to participate in this week's contest that says, How is your year this far?. You will agree with me that during the start of the year, everyone makes plan and sets goals for the year, some of this goals and plans are achieved while some are reshaped or even adjusted, please come with me as I share with you how my year has been so far.
This year has been a mix of both quiet victory and tough moments. It has not been the worst year but it has definitely changed me the way that I did not expect. The high cost of living made things a lot harder, plan that I have confidently laid out, has suddenly paused, some adjusted while others has been reshaped completely, it now looks like the more I try to take a step the more my efforts are doubled.
But through all of this, there were bright spots that kept me going. As a family, we managed to achieve some of our goals this year and I am super proud of it. It took everyone coming together, helping, sacrificing and supporting one another by contributing in their own little way to see that we achieve our goal as a family. Those moments reminded me that even when life is tough, it becomes lighter when you are not carrying everything alone.
As for my personal goals, I did not achieve all of them but I managed to achieve at least half. And honestly considering everything going on, I am beginning to celebrate my progress. It may not be perfect, but it's still something I am proud of. I keep holding on to that saying that, 'When There is Life, There Is Hope'. And right now , that hope is the only thing that makes me look toward the rest of the year with more courage, remembering that set backs are not the end, and that slow progress is still progress, I may not be where I wanted to be now but I am still moving forward and standing.
