Staying safe online has become very important because scammers now use different tricks to deceive innocent people. Infact they are improving in their tactics of deceit every day, and it's painful that many people are falling victim to them through their fake links, hacked accounts, and fake online businesses. They will send fake links that can hack ones phone, or steal ones personal information once they click on them.

Other scammers will promise people quick money and ask them to pay a certain amount before receiving double in return, but after payment, the scammers disappear with the money. There are also fake online sellers who advertise attractive products online, but once payment is made, they either deliver a completely different item or fail to deliver anything at all. Ponsy schemes are also there with their different methods of deceit.

I have faced online scams before, expecially from fake online sellers. On different occasions, I received products that were completely different from what I ordered. On two different occasions, scammers collected my money and never delivered anything. Ponsy schemes has also shown me 99.1

Sincerely speaking, all forms of online scams are dangerous because they can destroy lives financially and emotionally. I remember hearing about a man who clicked on a fraudulent link and was convinced to invest a huge amount of money, promising to double the money. The man had earlier borrowed money from a microfinance bank for his business, he invested the money into the sole called business. After paying the money, he later discovered that he had been scammed. When he went to the address given to him by the scammers, the place was locked up and abandoned. The shock was too much for him, and he collapsed. And that was the end. That's the damage online scammers can cause.

What steps have I taken to stay safe from online scammers? I have potected myself from online scammers by avoiding unknown links and suspicious websites. I do not click on random messages or links sent by strangers. I also prefer payment on delivery whenever I want to buy products online because it is safer than paying before seeing the product. Another important step is avoiding greed. Many scammers succeed because people are tempted by offers that seem too good to be true. I mean they want to earn where they did not work, so if people learn to be careful and patient, they will avoid many online scams.

My advice to others is simple, be careful, be content with what you have and don't be greedy, don't click on unknown links, don't share personal information carelessly, avoid those offers that promise quick money. Buy only from trusted online sellers.
