Two years back, my eyes stuck on a beautiful bush with a blooming flower in the plant nursery. It was so attractive that I asked the gardener about it, and he shared that we call it Rakhi (Hindi Word) flower. Rakshabandhan is a Hindu festival that celebrates love and bond between sisters and brothers. Sister ties thread to brother's wrist which is called Rakhi.
I brought it from the nursery and took it home and after a month it died. I went to the nursery and purchased it again and this time it started to grow. During the flowering season, it did not bloomed, but I waited patiently and thought one day it will bloom on my balcony.
Finally this year in the beginning of April, it started blooming. Every day at least one flower opened its petals, and only one time I see 3 in a single day.
It always bloom in the morning once the sun rise and end of the day and have only a day of life. I have recorded how it blooms in timelapse. I thought to read about it.
While reading on google about it I saw its 500+ variations and so many colors. the most attractive color I found were purple which I have and the red one. I am trying to find it and visited nursery to nursery but not able to found a red one.
and Indian mythology and it is connected to Mahabharat – an ancient India epic.

I think it is more then 100 blue petals, I have not counted but it looks like as it has two layers with blue petals.
Anyway as I set in the morning for 2 and half hours to see the whole blooming process, now I know when the flower will start blooming and how much time it will take. I can tell by seeing Bud that will it bloom the next morning or not.
I have recorded it with a pro cam and it looks so amazing while blooming, each petals glow and looks like a thread. When I added this flower to my Whatsapp status I realised many people were not aware and had not seen this before.
In my whole day, I go to the balcony and feel so peaceful to see it, I click photos and stay there and check which buds will bloom the next day.
Thank You for reading.
