Hello to my fellow community members,
Friends, it has been quite some time since I gifted anything to my dad. I remember gifting him a laptop around two to three years ago. That was the time when I started earning good and I gifted the first expensive thing to my dad. There is a big billion day sale going on at Flipkart and I think I am going to look at some products which I will gift to either my dad or to my sister.
The device I am excited about is the Google Pixel 9, which has dropped to a price of 34999/- INR. It is quite less compared to the initial price of Google Pixel, which was almost more than twice this price. I am myself shocked why they dropped the price that much because the buyers who bought just a few months back might feel disappointed seeing this price point for the sale.
But friends, you have to understand that this is the strategy that most products follow. The reason why they dropped the price so much is because of the new launch of their product, the Google Pixel 10 series. Now the Google Pixel 10 series is trading at the higher price point, while the Google Pixel 9 has been pushed down.
Even with the price drop, I still think Google Pixel 9 is a good buy. However, there are some problems, in my opinion, that I know will bother most users. For example, the heating issues are still there in the Google Pixel 9 series, especially in this version.
Another thing is the charging speed. While many mid range smartphones from brands like OnePlus, Realme, and Xiaomi give fast chargers, here you only get a 25 watt charger. That means it takes around 2-2.5 hours to fully charge the device, which is quite slow compared to what we are used to now.
So friends, while I still think that this device is a good pick at the price point at which it has come, the deal breaker for me is the charging speed itself. I am that type of person who puts my phone on charge and I just plug it out in 20-30 minutes and go for my work or anywhere I want to go.
I am used to it because right now I am using OnePlus which has eighty or ninety watt fast charging, and my device gets charged fully in just thirty minutes. So I am used to that thing and that is why I am not going to buy this one.
But maybe for my dad or maybe for my sister, I think I will ask them if they want this one. This is a good pick if you are not bothered with the heating issues and the charging speed. Also, if you are someone who is not a heavy user, then this device will go very well for the entire day usage. But if you are a gamer, then maybe this device is not for you.
Thank you friends for reading my blog till here.
