Money is an essential part of human life. With money, one can create a beautiful life for themselves. You can travel the world, cater to your immediate needs, invest, and even help others with what they need. I am not left out of this category of people because I love money and I would want to earn enough to be able to fund my passions and support my family. But the barrier to earning a significant amount of money remains a lack of knowledge and living in an impoverished country with a government that could care less about the situation of its people. This is exactly my situation.
The first time I made a couple of significant dollars, I was extremely excited because I had never earned that amount before. I was also satisfied because the exchange rate at the time made the money more valuable since my currency is of low value. These days, it is hard to come by $1000 because the economy keeps failing and there are not enough jobs that will earn you that much. So if I had $1000 today, whether as a gift or through my earnings, rather than invest or split it across various mediums, I would spend it on every single item I think I need right now that is essential to my health, self development, and freelancing journey.
I would start by registering for a physical pastries and cake decoration class because that has piqued my interest in the past few months, and I believe the knowledge gained from the class will enable me to set up an online bakery that would bring me profits. I would also pay for a content creation class where I get to learn updated information on creating appealing and engaging content, as well as how to run ads. I would also buy a few of the baking tools that I do not already have. I believe all of these should cost me about $350.
Next, I will go to a good hospital for a full body check up and register to get some important preventive medications like the HPV and Hepatitis B vaccines, which are already subsidized. After all, health is wealth. Food is not exempted because just like money, it is needed to survive each day. So I will go to the market to shop for some perishable food items, cereals, and some beverages to help support my family’s feeding throughout this second quarter of the year. I estimate this to be around $400.
The last thing I will spend my money on is gadgets. I see how content creation is currently in demand right now and I'm sure venturing into it will serve as an opportunity for me to expand my earnings. So I will spend the remaining cash to get some of the gadgets I will need for a start, which includes someLED lights, beautiful wall murals, a tripod stand, a new work table, and a chair.
I may have other goals with any monetary gift or income I receive today, but if I am able to have a thousand dollars in my possession, I will feel very satisfied at the end of the day because I know I would have spent a significant amount of that money on the most important things to me right now.
