Hi Hivers,
It's with great pleasure that am welcoming everyone to my blog and I hope you're all doing great and having a wonderful day. In one of my recent my post, I shared about the completion of my broiler birds pen and how glad I am. But today, I want to share with you all the progress have made so far after the completion of the broiler birds pen.
It was towards the end of last year that I came up with the idea of venturing in to raising broiler birds to create another source of income for me since my main job (Plumbing technician) is not going smoothly. Due to lack of contract, I became a full time blogger on the hive blockchain, but I realized that I need to have an offline business or let me say a side hustle so that I can have more than one source of income and here I am.
Starting a business is not a easy one especially raising broiler birds in large amount as you will need a pen to put those birds in. I thought to be something that won't cost me much before I started but I later realized that it is beyond that. Construction on the birds pen cost some cool cash, though it is not much but it is not something I can afford just like that especially due to situation of things going on in my country. A big thanks to for his support towards this project. If not, I would have not been able to get it done on time.
After the completion of the broiler birds pen construction, I order for 50 pieces of day old broiler birds and I received them today.
When I brought the birds in, I have to follow some measure before putting them in the pen. The first thing I have to do is the bedding using the sawdust. And I prepared a warm water in a drinker which contains glucose. Glucose is an energy booster which I have to mixed with the first water given to the birds to ease the long journey stress because they are brought from afar. I make sure to dip the mouth of birds in to the water one after the other to be certain that they all drink from the water.
Then, I gave the birds feeds which I have used sieve to collect the big portion from the feed after an hour and they started feeding on it immediately. The reason why I sieve the feed is to that the birds will be able to carry the feed easily and they are presently doing fine.
You can check here to see how it all started.
