Hallucinogenic Stasis

Here I present a story that shows us new scenes, little known realities, unexpected environments, and things yet to be seen - a possible future.

In the radios of that era, inventions were happening day after day, both public inventions as well as thousands of war inventions of the most important nations. In the various frameworks of that time period, they had created a machine that no longer needed electricity, but rather functioned with components of the air and particles of light, converting it into an extraordinary machine of the future. So everything began to function based on this kind of technology, without any wires or batteries.

This change in people's lives generated wealth almost instantly, since the agricultural machinery was completely automated and required no fuels, and with no metal friction, the engines had no wear. Improving the car body was easy, since extremely lightweight yet strong materials were created. In this way, the machines were built to last thousands of years. Everything advanced amazingly, thousands of jobs changed and transportation and distribution costs disappeared.

Finally, the ideal world arrived for humans, and a song was created.

Humanity lived happily until people began to experiment with the advances provided by these extraordinary machines. Just like nature, everything worked, but we did not know how.

Something began collecting people's consciousness, and today we know that Facebook made this discovery. In that radio era, so many consciousnesses were being generated that people could be in different places at the same time and create videos doing all kinds of things in their virtual world, as they entered their homes and everything became real like dreams.

People became addicted to these things, and were in a state of dreamlike happiness all the time. It seemed that complete happiness had been achieved, but the brain began to fail, although no one noticed, since physical consciousness was used less and less. The machines provided food and barely any movement was necessary.

Then, people began collapsing without realizing it, and almost all of humanity died. A few people very isolated from everything remained, which meant that people only existed in the system.

Now, due to its own faults, the system left all humans without environments. Everything turned white, and only presences, unable to respond or act, remained trapped in an electronic cube. All of humanity froze in the brain, without doubting how happy they were, but it was short-lived. We believed AI would finally solve all our problems.
