🥳 Welcome to the Scholar and Scribe Invitational 🥳
The Invitational is our monthly writing contest. It is where we match quills and draw blood all, for the sake of the craft! A 'friendly' competition never hurts anyone, especially when it can be used as a platform to improve your writing. 🙌
🧐 Rules of Engagement 🧐
- Entries must adhere to the genre AND thematic prompt;
- Entries must be between 800 and 1500 words.
Note: this does not include any intro/footer text. - You must post your entry in Scholar and Scribe and use the #scholarandscribe and #ss-monthly tags;
- Deadline for submission is Sunday, 26th of February (23.59, GMT + 01);
- All languages are welcome but MUST include an English translation;
- Link your entry in the comment section below; ⏬
🤑 Prizes and Goodies 🤑
The winners will be announced by the end of the month. Winners of what? An astute question. The prizes are as follows:
🥇 Gold: 50 SCHOLAR, 3 SCRIBE, and 3 HSBI
🥈 Silver: 40 SCHOLAR, 2 SCRIBE, and 2 HSBI
🥉 Bronze: 30 SCHOLAR, 1 SCRIBE, and 1 HSBI
🎖️ Runners-Up: the final 2 of the top 5 contestants will receive 15 SCHOLAR and .5 SCRIBE each
IN ADDITION- Each participant will get a modest review of their work from the modding team. With the additional opportunity of getting an in-depth critical review if they so choose. 🙂

February is known in some cultures as the month of relationships and romance—but not everyone wants to get all cute and cozy. Therefore, this month we invite you to explore the unconventional aspects of romance, whatever that may mean to you! Just no graphic sexy times please, we beg of you! 💗
