Scholar and Scribe and Dreemport are proud to announce a brand spanking new event for August: The Late Days of Summer Hold your excitement, I know. š± We have collaborated with Dreemport in the past but this is the first time we are trying out this type of event. I hope you all leave us your feedback and tell us if you would like something similar in the future! š
āļø Late Days of Summer āļø
This event will run 3 weeks, 3 contests all centered around one theme. We have over 30 Hive in prize money for the entire event - not to mention a lot of tokens. The thematic undertones are that of joy, sun, and sweat, with each week's prompt highlighting a new aspect of the Late Days of Summer. š

š§ Rules of Engagement š§
- Entries must adhere to the given prompt;
- Entries must be between 500 and 1500 words.
Note: this does not include any intro/footer text. - You must post your entry in the Scholar and Scribe community and use the #scholarandscribe tag;
- Deadline for submission is Thursday, 8th of August (23.59, GMT + 01);
- Entry must be submitted on Dreemport on Thursday, 8th of August.
Note: The story can be posted at any time during the week, but it must be submitted on the Dreemport site on this date. - You can vote for your entry on the 9th of August on Dreemport;
Note: The judges will consider the shortlisted 5 most voted stories. - All languages are welcome but MUST include an English translation;

The winners will be announced next week after the voting + judging has concluded. For this first week the prizes are as follows:

š„ Silver: 3 HIVE + 400 Ecency points
š„ Bronze: 2 HIVE + 200 Ecency points

š„ Prompt: Beach Adventure
Beaches are some of the most fun places to be! We want you to capture this joyful energy by telling us a story centered on a beach. It could be a discovery someone's made, a love story, a playful game gone wrong. Just because there is joy doesn't mean there can't be strife. How else would we capture said joy? The prompt is open-ended for a reason: We want to read as many stories as possible! So give us your best! šŖ
