I have made an appeal in Discord but will also mirror it here for the record.
I will be clear: I did use AI, but not for text generation, rather for checking the grammar and even then I did not copypaste any suggested corrections - I have picked what changes I agree with, with accordance to my chosen style. I am the author of the story, of the metaphors, style, the language and the words I have chosen to write it with.
I have spent 3-4 hours imagining the story and writing this intro myself, with the minor help of AI, just to "smoothen out" a few rough edges (which actually were a few, English is not my native language, although I am not bad in it either)
I was then advised to stick to only the basic grammar checks, as advanced grammar correction spins/rewrites the writing using AI and will be likely detected. Also it is advisable to do basic grammar check in original language and then use basic and direct translation into English.
So I will go with the basic grammar check then. As of the language - personally I wanted to write it in English from the start so that I can practice my English this way as well. (and I think I will keep writing the book in English first for this purpose)
