Lottie had never had to be set aside in a quarantine like a new species of plants but for the first time in her life, she had to live her life within the four walls of the remedial home. Though she felt nothing was wrong with her, the world was against her and called her crazy.
With every little mistake she made, it was a result of mental issues. Her freedom had always been essential to her but her depression made it seem like an act of solitude and loneliness, they never seemed to understand her and her attitude.
After three years of staying in the remedial home, she was released only twice, just to be taken back. She has always had thoughts on leaving and running away, all because of the strange voices she had been hearing. She always had dreams about invisible friends. The doctors always said she had Schizophrenia.
Far from it. Her misfortune started when she clocked sixteen. Her father had organised a birthday party to celebrate the occasion of his first and only daughter reaching adolescence.
Before the bash, Lottie had made proud of the event to be full of life as her father, a captain in the marine, would do anything to ensure it is a swell party. All her friends, those of the college volleyball team, promised to grave the occasion.
The sound of light music welcomed all guests from the garden where the dj had set his turntable, dishing out the most trending billboard sounds and a little of disco dances from the 80s.
At entry everyone was handed a bucket.of vanilla ice cream as an appetiser before the main dish would be served.
While they were enjoying the cruise, some fierce-looking men entered the venue of the birthday bash, also picking a bucket of ice cream like they were here to celebrate. As the DJ blasted the air with some good music, switching from dancehall to hip-hop and more.
One of the men moved slowly to the DJ stand, with no one given attention to any of them. He requested that the DJ gives him the microphone.
With the speed of light, they ransacked the whole house only to pick Captain Georgetown, Lottie's dad.
A gun battle ensued between the hostile team of fierce-looking men and the few men who had come to celebrate with Captain Georgetown on his daughter's sixteenth birthday bash.
All effort was to seize the captain. The young fellows who had come to the bash were held hostage while the gun battle within the compound lasted.
Captain Georgetown was able to escape through the basement of the building. As he doles out of the tunnel in the Arizona wildlife reserve, another team of fierce-looking men was just there waiting for him.
They took him.
At the party ground, the men who were in support of Georgetown had been overpowered. They were all chained down with a threat to produce the captain or face the ultimate prize, death.
Tears and emotions filled the air as the men ravaged the whole compound, still searching for Captain Georgetown.
The police siren took the air, as the men began to restrategize their next move.
Two of the men who had been searching for the tunnel found it in the basement and called others who joined them from where they escaped to the reserve.
It was quite a saddening event that Lottie could not recover from.in a short while. Her sixteenth birthday was a mess. Her father and her only relative had been taken.
Looking back in time, all the figures of the day that would have been a celebration for the beginning of freedom for her turned out to take her memory away. She would at the slightest move hallucinate visually.
Three days after the supposed birthday bash, her father was made to put a call through to the main building, demanding that the old man's chest he collected as war spoil when they attacked the Balkan states be returned.
The US Marine headquarters was also called and the same demands were made. It is going to be a long walk to freedom for the veteran captain.
Captain Georgetown was diplomatic about revealing the location of the old man's chest to the team because he later discovered they were terrorists who plot to take advantage of history against their unsuspecting victims.
Release meso I could bring to you the old man's chest.
Georgetown had told the men in one of their questioning sections.
Lottie got another call from his father, trying to describe the location of the old man's chest to him. He only passed a code to her that she should act like she is sick, because the men are planning on abducting her.
That same night, Captain Georgetown removed the handcuff, beat up the man guarding him and escaped from the kidnappers den.
They chased him through the forest but he took them down, one and the other with different military tactics.
The last man standing, the leader of the gang, an ex-marine Jeff was trailing his men, Georgetown who was hanging up a raffia tree caught him and a fight ensued as Jeff broke away from group grip.
Jeff landed an uppercut under George's chin, it hurt him a lot. He couldn't shut his mouth for a while. The two experienced men exchanged fists for quite a while but Georgetwon overpowered him.
He brought Jeff to the marine headquarters and handed him over to the state where he will be judged for terrorism and treason against an officer of law.
Lottie and Georgetown reunited after the whole saga had blown away. The state promoted Georgetown for being such a patriot for national security.
