that got emailed to me 😀"You're so funny," my friend said when I told her about the alien behind her.
I have no idea why she would say that. She of all people should know that I am one of the serious guys. Not one of those lunatics running around with tinfoil around their heads, telling everyone no matter if they want to hear it or not that aliens are out there and they were abducted by aliens, before disappearing and camping out in their parent's basements. Yeah, sure.
Well, actually, that last part there about the basement and parents? Okay, I'll admit that I am living in my parent's basement but it's totally the sensible thing to do. Seriously, my job doesn't pay much, food is free and mom does my laundry I love my parents. "What? What did I say?"
"Why are you always trying to scare me, Rupert, with aliens? You know that I do not believe in aliens and I am not going to fall for another one of your pranks."
"But - really..." I pointed behind her, slowly backing away without turning "Becky, ... just - please - seriously - look... and come here."
"Stop it, Rupert! This has gone far enough. If you're gonna be this way, I'll go home and will see you tomorrow. Maybe...". There was this tone in her voice that meant you're going to pay for this one. But I didn't care.
"Becky, stop muckin' around and start running" I screamed while grabbing Becky's hand, already turning around and dragging her along. Too late, it's too late, we're not going to make it.
Becky tried to get free of my grip, stumbled, and fell "Becky!!! Get up! Quick!" "Stop it, Rupert, just stop..." Becky sighed straightening her skirt while scrambling to her feet "... you know that I love you but - please, just cut out this sh... shgurgle gurgle splat
"Beckyyyyyyy!"
Alrighty, well, that was my very feeble attempt at a very spontaneous non-thought-out 5 20-minute free-write with interruptions. I hope it makes some kind of sense to you.
