Emperor Valorus
Graxoth has been brutally attacked, the Princess is missing, some monstrous being from beyond the stars is loose near the castle... This is a nightmare! And my usual tactic of nodding solemnly while looking regal has never felt so utterly ineffective.
Meanwhile my Empress is heartbroken and I feel her pain as if it were my own. But it is not. I love Valoria but the two of them have a deeper bond than that. They can have entire conversations with the slightest of facial expressions and not a single word. I have never been that close to anyone.
As my world crumbles around me, I can't help but think this is my fault somehow. I feel it in my bones yet I don't know what it was I should have done that I have not. I'm a glorified mascot, this crown may as well be made of paper!
But I still have hope. I have left the creature's capture and Valoria's rescue in Graxoth's capable hands. If anyone can sort this mess out it's him.
No time for kingly heroics right now. For the sake of Terrasia, my family and all that I hold dear, I must stay out of the way.
Right, what could possibly go wrong with Graxoth on the case?
